The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) presented several awards at the 2021 MBMA Annual Meeting, held December 8-9 in Indian Wells, Calif.

13 Members Earn Industry Advocate Awards

Thirteen companies earned Industry Advocate awards in 2021. This honor is given to members with exceptional involvement in enhancing MBMA initiatives. These activities may include serving on MBMA committees, advocacy efforts to enhance the metal building systems industry, attending MBMA educational and promotional events, and safety program participation.

Gold, silver and bronze-level awards were presented to the winners. Four companies achieved gold recognition: Bay Insulation Systems, S-5! Attachment Solutions, Expi-Door Systems and Silvercote, LLC. Silver recognition went to Sherwin-Williams, Lamtec Corporation, Therm-All, Inc. and Wurth House of Threads, and the bronze distinction was given to Metal Building Software, Inc., Konecranes, Metallic Products Corporation, Triangle Fastener Corporation and PDL Building Products

“This program recognizes the incredible companies that invest time and expertise into supporting MBMA’s efforts and are advocates for the entire metal building industry,” says Tony Bouquot, MBMA general manager. “The commitment displayed by these members is crucial to advancing metal building solutions worldwide.”

Tomchack & Carlson Receive Prestigious Innovation Award

Additionally, Dave Tomchak of Bay Insulation Systems and Todd Carlson of Owens Corning were recognized as the 2021 Innovation Award winners for their proposal to create an air leakage best practices video.

“MBMA has performed whole-building air leakage testing for several years now, all the while documenting best practices to meet the latest energy code requirements,” Bouquot says. “Dave Tomchak and Todd Carlson, who have volunteered countless hours to work with MBMA, have come up with a way to get that information out to even more people.”
