The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) is gearing up to host its third annual Architecture Faculty Workshop for college and university professors nationwide. The two-day event will take place August 2-3, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. Registration for the program is now open at http://ow.ly/ooKz30sl6HL. MBMA will cover all expenses for architecture educators who attend, including travel costs, lodging and meals.

Each year the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) honors member companies that demonstrate exceptional performance in maintaining workplace safety. These awards are given to Building Systems members as well as Associate members for their performance during the previous calendar year. Safety awards for the 2021 year were presented during the 2022 MBMA Spring Meeting held April 27-29 in Tucson, Arizona.

That analogy reminds us to remember what’s behind us, and that our focus clearly needs to be on what is in front of us, on the bigger picture—and plan strategically to deal with whatever is ahead.

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) is pleased to announce the winners of its inaugural Student Design Competition. On February 15, 2022, the association acknowledged five students and their faculty sponsors in an online ceremony and awarded a total of $16,000 in awards.

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) has published the first report in its new Architectural Significance in Metal Buildings series created for undergraduate and graduate architecture programs. Kicking off a multiyear initiative to introduce students to metal building systems, the new folio explores the design challenges and outcomes of the Alamo Beer Company building project in San Antonio, Texas.
